Q&A: Antwan Ficklen (2020)

Antwan Ficklen is one of the most talented point guards in the class of 2020. He is fast and athletic, making him difficult to contain. Ficklen is an aggressive player who is best when he is in attack mode. He’s a multi sport star at Adrian High School who plays with an edge. Ficklen is on the brink of a big spring/summer season as he will suit up for the Xmen AAU team. He is currently ranked #27 by Prep Hoops in the class of 2020. We caught up with Antwan Ficklen to discuss his game and what was I store for the coming AAU season.

Question:  What do you think is the biggest strength of your game?

Antwan Ficklen:  Scoring and getting buckets when our team needs em.

Question:  How do you feel about you and your high school teams performance last season?

Antwan Ficklen:  I wasn’t happy with it at all. I feel like we could of did better.

Question:  What part of your game do you feel really developed over the high school season?

Antwan Ficklen:  Pull up and wide range game.

Question:  What are your basketball goals this spring and summer?

Antwan Ficklen:  To move up in the Prep Hoops rankings and be the talk of Michigan.

Question:  Is there an event you are really looking forward to?

Antwan Ficklen:  I’m looking forward to the Pit Jam Fest.

Question:  Who is the best player you have ever matched up against?

Antwan Ficklen:  Wendell Green.

Question:  What do you like the most about AAU/travel season?

Antwan Ficklen:  That I get to play against people that I haven’t seen or seen play that I know has the same talent as me.

Question:  What professional player do you think your game resembles?

Antwan Ficklen:  I think I play like Westbrook just because of how aggressive I am.

Question:  Is there a teammate on your AAU/travel team that you are especially looking forward to playing with?

Antwan Ficklen:  I’m looking forward to playing with my man Lorenzo Wright from Ypsi High.

Question:  What do you think will be the key to your teams success this spring and summer?

Antwan Ficklen:  Playing together and winning and beating teams.
