Prospect Update: Jeremy DowDell (2019)
Jeremy DowDell has established himself as not only one of the best shooters in the state, but one of the best shooters in the history of Utah.
The 6-foot-4 guard — Utah’s 16th-ranked 2019 — canned 103 3-pointers this past season for Olympus. That’s good enough for the second most in a single season in Utah high school hoops history.
But it’s not just his shooting; he’s improved all facets of his game.
“I am more well-rounded, a better rebounder, and tougher than I was as a sophomore,” DowDell said.
He averaged 21 points and four rebounds per game as a junior with the Titans, good enough for him to earn a major honor.
This season went well,” DowDell said. “We went 27-0, won the state championship, and I won 5A MVP…so not too bad.”
As he moves into his 17U season with Utah Basketball Club, DowDell is now focused on getting some recruitment coming his way. Right now, he says there’s not much.
“I want to play really well and get recruited, possibly pick up a couple offers,” said DowDell.
“I’d love to receive a couple Division I offers.”
