Prospect Spotlight: Robby Beasley
From the moment the ball is tipped you’ll see young man sprinting all over the floor. His intensity and competitive fire are evident as theres a confidence that shows in the way he plays. Robby Beasley of Dublin High is one of the best young guards in Northern California. The 2020 prospect is a tough matchup with a well rounded skillset. He combines those hard earned abilities with a work ethic that absolutely cannot be out done as it’s already difficult enough for anyone to match that level of effort for an entire game. A lethal sniper, capable of attacking the rim, he’s not someone that you want to put at the free throw line. Make no mistake that he wants to guard you full court as well to make the team as uncomfortable as possible. I was able to speak with the young guard about his goals and how he plans to improve going into this offseason playing with West Coast Elite.
What weaknesses are working to improve upon?
This offseason I’m focusing on my ability to finish at the rim with full contact.
What do you think is your most underrated skill right now?
I believe my on ball defense is something thats underrated.
Where does your Work ethic come from?
The work ethic I have comes from my parents as well as my desire to be great.
How did you become an elite shooter?
The consistent practice and working with my mother helped me become a better shooter.
What are your goals for the coming season?
Next season I want to continue to be consistent and to dominate my opponent on both ends of the floor.
If you could play in any arena just once, where would it be and why?
I would choose Oracle Arena (Home of the Golden State Warriors), because it is the loudest arena there is!
