NC Battle of the 252 Showcase Preview
This Saturday at Farmville Central High School , some of the top players from the 252 area code will meet on the court to do battle. We take a look at some of the players from both teams as well who we believe could possibly have a bigtime showing, so lets start off with some of the players of ” Team Rondo”.
Edenton HS Wing CK Everett: One of the best athletes that you will see in the state, he literally is looking down at the basket when he throws down dunks. However his aerial skills aren’t only on the offensive end, just a few weeks ago he blocked a shot from the rim all the way to the third row of bleachers, he will put on a show without a doubt.
South Central HS Forward Dayron Sharpe: There’s not a lot that we can tell you about him that we haven’t told you already, he is highly skilled and still far from his full potential. He blocks shots, rebounds, finishes inside and most of all you cant teach the height that he has.
Ayden Grifton HS Forward Josiah Shacleford: Another player that has a lot to like about him, he’s strong and athletic but still is adding to his game. Once he locks in and gives the same type of performances consistently , then his recruitment will pick up.
Kinston HS Guard Damian Dunn: A very talented player from a city that is known for producing high level talent on a regular basis, he has already picked up some offers. An Al-Star game may not be the setting where we will be able to see what he does best but we expect him to have a nice showing.
Kinston HS Guard Taji Moore: The recent Pitt CC signee is one to keep an eye on as he can be the type of player that takes on the facilitator role since he has such a high amount of talent around him.
South Central HS Guard Tahj Riddick: He has the ability to score the ball at a very nice rate, he can knock down the deep ball, slash to the basket and finish at or above the rim.
Ayden Grifton Guard James Richardson: If you don’t think that he is going to give effort on both end of the floor, then you are sadly mistaken. He is a very good on ball defender that makes his opponent work for whatever they get, as well as being a solid floor general overall.
Farmville Central Guard Justin Wright: One of the younger players in the game but he is a special talent, this is the time of atmosphere where he can really get it going. His ability to score the ball at a very high level is something that will be seen as well as his ability to break down his defender.
