It was the inside duo for BBE featuring the top two prospects in the state that did most of the damage on the weekend. Normal West center Francis Okoro averaged 14.5 points and 7.5 rebounds while shooting 68% from the field. Belleville West power forward EJ Liddell was really good as well averaging 12.5 points and nearly 6 boards a game on 46% shooting. Also had 2.2 blocks per game. The state’s #3 prospect Terrence Hargrove notched a line of 4.2 points and 3.5 boards on 53% shooting.

The fire were dominated by a pair of wings. Roselle Catholic (NJ) small forward Kahlil Whitney averaged 22 points and 6 boards a game including a 37 point outing. Reclassifying wing Terrence Shannon had a big weekend going for 24 points a game in their three contests. The top performer from the 2019 Illinois class was Kansas commit Markese Jacobs with 12.5 points per game.

The top four scorers for Meanstreets were all out of state players led by Romeo Weems at 19 points per game. Lance Jones from Evanston averaged 4 points on 28% shooting. Chris Payton had 3.3 points on 26% shooting while grabbing over 5 rebounds.

It was clear that the best shoe circuit team during the first week was the Illinois Wolves with their perfect record at 4-0. Brother Rice 2019 guard Marquise Kennedy will see his stock soar in the next update as he continued his strong play from Swish N Dish going for 12 points a game on 63% from the field. Also grabbed 6.5 rebounds a contest. Waukegan top 5 prospect Bryant Brown averaged 11.3 points per contest on 52%. DePaul Prep shooting guard Perry Cowan averaged 9.5 points and 5.5 points per game on 41% shooting. Naperville North’s Thomas Welch averaged 6.8 points and grabbed 6.8 boards throughout the event.

It was the Dajuan Gordon show as he continues to see his stock rise and is primed to move into the top 10 in the summer update. The Curie two guard averaged 17.3 points per game and 4 rebounds in the event. Simeon point guard Kejuan Clements went for 9.3 points and 3.5 dimes a contest. Whitney Young standout Myles Baker had a weekend where he put up 13.5 points on 50% shooting.
