Drew Peterson to Rice
Libertyville 2018 small forward Drew Peterson ended his recruitment on Tuesday night with a commitment to attend Rice after his official visit over the weekend. The highest rated uncommitted prospect in the state told us why Rice was his choice.
“Had an awesome visit over the weekend. Great school, staff, players, and program. Got a chance to come in and make some noise early on. Couldn’t have asked for a better choice for my future.”
He feels his game and skill set will be utilized great at his new home.
“They run four guards and love to shoot threes. They’d have me playing multiple positions because of my versatility. I’m hoping to make a big impact early.”
The 6’6” small forward is a big time scorer that can shoot it from three and is an underrated athlete. Sound passer. So under recruited throughout the process. He will be an all-conference caliber player at Rice.
Peterson ran with the Illinois Wolves on the travel team circuit. He was the #6 overall prospect and #3 small forward.
