Big Shots-Raleigh: Tourney Preview
This weekend we will be in the building at Big Shots in Raleigh, NC, this event has a chance to be a very good one as there are a high amount of teams and talented players. So who are some players that could possibly have a bigtime tournament? Here are a few that you should keep an eye on over the next few days.
Team ENC 17U Guard Phil Martin: (Game 1 vs Defenders Varsity 1pm @ Word of God) Over the years we have seen him grow, he can score the ball in multiple ways but truly excels with his ability to knock down the trey ball. So far he has hit the ground running with Team ENC and we fully expect him to have some more outstanding showings this spring during the live periods.
Garner Road 2020 Guard Djimon Bailey: (Game 1 vs NC Hustle 11am @ J.D Lewis) With the departure of Coby White at Greenfield, he will be a player that will have more of the leadership role placed in his hands. This spring season could be a very good kick start for him, as he should be one of the leaders on a talent rich 16U squad. He has a high skillset level, is a shot maker and already has good height and length for a guard, he is one to keep a close eye on.
910 Vengeance 16U: (Game 1 vs WCBA 8am @ J.D Lewis) This team is composed of players from the Jacksonville, NC area and we are looking forward to seeing them play as quite a few of these youngsters had good high school seasons. 2020 Guard Karree Smith, 2021 Guard Daymon Beckwith & 2020 Guard Malachi Borders are all players that have shown that they can score the ball are ones to watch closely in this event.
Juice All-Stars 2020 Christopher Nobles: (Game 1 vs TBD 5pm @Garner Road Rec) Last weekend at the Icebreaker Invitational Tournament in GA he turned some heads with his stellar play and upside. As we learned last summer he is a player that has basketball in his genes and he puts in a nice amount of work so he’s one to keep an eye on as he continues to put it all together.
