Prep Hoops takes a look at the Top 2020-2021 Performers from this weekend at Myrtle Beach Sports Center.

Darjawuan Brown (2020) North Charleston HS – Low Country Elite (pictured on front)

Brown can really score the ball. Brown has the ability to create his own shot on the floor and really likes to play out on the perimeter. Brown averaged 19.5 ppg, 3.5 rebounds, 3.3 steals and 3.1 assists this season for the Cougars. Brown 5’11 was Region Player of the Year. Brown scored 46 points in a game vs Academic Magnet this past season.

Carrele Cooper (2020) Andrews HS – Manzer 16

Cooper 6’3 has good length and really stays active in the passing lanes. Cooper saw good minutes this season for the Yellow Jackets where he averaged 7.7 ppg. Cooper must play more consistent with effort at times and must improve his perimeter skills.

Dajon Townsend

Dajon Townsend (2021) Lower Richland HS – South Carolina Tigers 16U

Townsend a point guard was all over the floor today for the South Carolina Tigers. Townsend is playing up a age group just constantly brings ball pressure and quick hands. Townsend unofficially had 7 steals we watched him play today.

Lawton Fulford

Lawton Fulford (2021)  Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach – Big Shots Elite South Carolina 2021

Fulford moved over to the Saints this season after attending North Myrtle Beach Christian. Fulford came off the bench for a very talented Saints team.  Fulford a three point shooter was handling the ball a little more today. Fulford was playing on a lot more aggressive on both ends of than we have seen him in the past due.

Kyle Watkins

Kyle Watkins (2021)  Carolina Forest HS – Big Shots Elite South Carolina 2021

Watkins a point guard saw good minutes for the Class 5A Panthers this season. Watkins got the team into the offense and found the open man in transition quite regularly. Watkins hit a few nice mid-range jumpers today off the bounce.
