Big Shots Columbia : Stock Risers
Prep Hoops takes a look at some players that helped themselves with new rankings coming out later this month. Lets take out the latest on these Stock Risers from this weekend at Heathwood Hall.
Antoine Parker (2020) – Fort Dorchester HS – TMP 16U (pictured on front)
Parker was great this weekend with his aggressive play on both ends of the floor. Parker can stalk the baseline and plays so much bigger than his size on the floor. Parker plays at one speed and that’s all out at all times. Parker plays football for the Patriots also and brings a great toughness to the hardwood.
Ahmad Brown (2020) – Ashley Ridge HS (Summerville) – TMP 16U
Brown was a nice surprise this weekend. Brown 6’3 is a left-handed is a quick leaper off the floor and has the ability to defend multiple positions. Brown who has a great upside still must develop better offensive skills.
Dionte Williams (2020) – Charleston Math & Science – Port City Stars 16U
Williams likes to have the ball in his hands as much as possible. Williams 6’2 has good length and a great wingspan for a guard. Williams averaged 9.7 ppg and 4.7 rebounds this season for the Riptide. Williams got a little fancy with the ball at times.
Ziohn Brown (2019) – Wilson HS (Florence) – Big Shots South Carolina 17U
Brown will be more of a feature player for the Tigers next season. Brown 6’5 rebounded the ball well on both ends of the floor today. Brown is a blue collar undersized post that didn’t mind throwing his body around. Brown scored on several put-backs on the glass.
Donnell Bowens (2019) – Lowcountry Leadership (Hollywood) – Port City Stars 17U
Bowens played very under control and dictated tempo at times for the Port City Stars 17U. Bowens showed today that he could knockdown shots on the perimeter after connecting on 4 three pointers. Bowens 5’11 point guard averaged 13 ppg and 4.1 assists this season for his 18-8 squad.
