Big Shots Columbia : Peach State Talent
Prep Hoops SC takes a look at some outstanding performers from the State of Georgia that played this past weekend in Columbia, SC at Big Shots.
Nate Dunlop (2019) – Augusta Christian – TMP 17U
Dunlop is playing this season with the Charleston, SC based TMP squad with Josiah James. Dunlop is actually a Graniteville, SC native and has been attending Augusta Christian since his 7th grade year. Dunlop 6’6 has a sweet looking stroke from downtown and can extend the defense with his long range shooting.
Dunlop averaged 27.1 ppg and 6.8 rebounds this past season. Augusta Christian actually plays in the SCISA basketball ranks with the likes of Porter Gaud, Cardinal Newman and Pinewood Prep. Dunlop played last summer with the Georgia Stars before coming over to TMP 17U this off season. Dunlop should see plenty of recruitment coming in this spring and summer.
Ryan Mutombo (2021) – Lovett HS (Atlanta) – Team Forrest 15U
Mutombo you guessed it is the son of former NBA player Dikembe Mutombo. Mutombo 6’6 is developing skills and must get stronger for the future. Mutombo has goo length and actually a really nice touch on the foul line.
Ian Schieffelin (2021) – Grayson HS (Loganville) – Team Forrest 15U (pictured on front)
Schieffelin 6’6 is a outstanding quarterback on the gridiron. Schieffelin has tremendous foot work and seems to be pretty athletic after hammering down 5 dunks today. Schieffelin plays very aggressive on both ends of the floor and really rebounds the ball well out of his area. Schieffelin made several passes from the interior post and wasn’t afraid to draw contact.
Matthew Cleveland (2021) – Cambridge HS (Milton) – Team Forrest 15U
Cleveland 6’3 already has good size for a guard. Cleveland was able to breakdown the defender and made some very crisp passes in transition. Cleveland wants to push the ball in transition when given the opportunity. Cleveland didn’t play the first half of the game here today but played all of the 2nd half.
