Big Shots Columbia : 2021 Standouts
Lets take a look at some of the 2021 standouts this weekend at the Big Shots Columbia event being held at Heathwood Hall.
Jordan Wilburn (2021) – North Augusta HS – Upward Stars Riverfront 15U (pictured on front)
Wilburn 6’2 scored the ball at all 3 levels for the Upward Stars Riverfront squad. Wilburn got to the basket attacking or penetrating and kicking to a teammate. Wilburn stepped out and hit several 3 pointers today. Wilburn should get some quality minutes this season for the Yellow Jackets and Head Coach Tony Harrell.
Cohen Gaskins (2021) – Pinewood Prep (Summerville) – TMP 15U
Gaskins played the point guard spot this season for the Panthers. Gaskins averaged 10.2 ppg, 5.1 rebounds and 4.6 assists for the 21-12 Panthers. Gaskins 6’2 seems to be more comfortable at the position and sees the floor very well. Gaskins never seems to take a play off and always seems to be in the right position on the floor.
Bailey Wiseman (2021) James Island HS – TMP 15U
Wiseman had a great freshman season for the Trojans after averaging 10 ppg and connecting on 47 three pointers. Wiseman is always ready in a stance to shoot the ball and shows to have a great stroke. Wiseman pops off screens for open looks. Wiseman has a solid basketball IQ on the floor.
Rahmel Bell (2021) Burke HS (Charleston) – TMP 15U
Bell played last summer with Charleston Strong (no longer playing). Bell is a great role guy on this talented team. Bell rebounded the ball well on both ends today.
Mason Grant (2021) Fort Dorchester HS (Ladson) – TMP 15U
Grant was all over the floor today for TMP 15U. Grant finished inside the paint and ran loose balls on both ends of the floor. Grant saw action as a freshman on the Patriots this pat season. Grant a small forward stepped out and hit a 3 pointer.
