Big Shots Carolina Live : Out of State Top Performances
Prep Hoops SC took in Day 1 action from the Big Shots Carolina Live event being held at Nation Ford HS in Fort Mill, SC. Fort Mill is just across the state border outside of the Charlotte area. Lets take a look at some of the top performances we saw yesterday from out of state players.
Brady Dingess (2022) – Sheldon Clark HS (Inez, KY) – Big Shots West Virginia (pictured on front)
Dingess just completed his 8th grade season at Sheldon Clark HS where he averaged 19 ppg, 6.7 assists and 2.5 steals. Dingess plays very under control and poised on the floor. Dingess can knockdown jumpers or create his own shot. Dingess doesn’t ever turn the ball over it seems and at times he seems a bit unselfish and passing up some shots.
Dingess started the day with a easy 27 points in a lopsided win. Sheldon Clark HS is located in Martin County in Eastern Kentucky near the West Virginia border.
Khalil Marshall (2021) – Pender HS (Burgaw, NC) – WCBA Elite Blue 2020
Marshall is fresh off a great season for the Patriots where he averaged 19.9 ppg, 6 assists and 4.1 rebounds. Marshall has a knack to score the ball if that means creating his own shot off the dribble and the catch. Marshall has a nice quick shot release and really elevates on his jump shot. Marshall was able to get into the gaps and create for others today.
Cameron Gwyn (2019) – Chestatee HS (Gainesville, GA) – Team Recruit
Gwyn was a absolute bulls-eye shooter all day long for Team Recruit. Gwyn was always ready in position to shoot the ball. Gwyn connected on it least 6 three pointers without missing in the game we watched vs the Sharp Shooters. Gwyn for sure is a absolute zone buster with his deep range shooting.
Wyatt Watson (2019) – Cherokee HS (Rogersville, TN) – Team Xplosion 2019
Watson is a big player in the post for Team Xplosion. Watson is still some work in progress and apparently has grown several inches over the past year or so. Watson 6’10 maybe close to close 6’11 currently seems a bit awkward at times on the floor. Watson today had 8 points and 13 rebounds in the win. Watson does keep the ball up high whenever he rebounds it. Watson lives in small community called Bulls Gap.
