Palmetto State 2019 class that are playing Under the Radar. Prep Hoops takes a look on which players stood out this weekend at Big Shots Carolina Live at Nation Ford HS in Fort Mill, SC.
Malik Bryant – Nation Ford HS (Fort Mill) – Fort Mill Knicks (pictured on front)
Bryant was a machine this weekend scoring the ball at the rim at will. Bryant 6’2 really scores the ball well on contact. Bryant exploded to the rack on several occasions today for easy layups. Bryant is very quick off the dribble even did it a three pointer on the perimeter.
Reggie Harris Jr. – South Pointe HS (Rock Hill) – Fort Mill Knicks
Harris Jr. 6’7 we have seen the past 2 weekends in the NCAA Live Period. Harris Jr. can face-up and hit the 8-10 footer. Harris Jr. has soft hands and runs the floor very well for his size. Harris Jr. is a player to keep a eye on down the road especially playing at a school where football is king all year long.
Khalil Stringer – Broome HS (Spartanburg) – South Carolina Heat
Stringer showed some great passing today for the South Carolina Heat. Stronger at times was one step ahead of his teammates. Stringer averaged 17.7 ppg this past season for the Centurions. Stringer enters his senior season with 715 career points.
Rykem Ferguson – Spartanburg HS – South Carolina Heat
Ferguson 6’4 has a good look to him and really played active on the floor all day for the South Carolina Heat. Ferguson plays wide receiver on the Vikings football team. Ferguson finished with his left-hand several times in the post despite being right-handed. Ferguson showed a really nice touch on the foul line.
Peter Musci – West Ashley HS – South Carolina Kings 17U
Musci transferred into West Ashley HS last season after playing at Chapin HS. Musci got lost in the numbers game last season with the Wildcats. Musci is a player who can rip off 5-6 straight baskets at times and doesn’t mind taking a charge in the paint.
