The coverage from the Ashton Arnold Memorial Tourney in Easley, SC is just starting here on Prep Hoops.  Prep Hoops spent 2 days in the Upstate at the Easley Recreation Center.

Sam Tyner

Sam Tyner a former member of the 2018 class played his first set of games since playing in the Bob Gibbons Tourney last May in Suwanee, GA. Tyner told Prep Hoops he is currently in classes at Easley HS and will look to do a 5th year of high school next year. Tyner could possibly land at a out of state school. Tyner was playing with Team South Carolina 11th Red.

Tyner 6’8 was one-time a Top 20 player in the Palmetto State class. Tyner today showed he for sure has to work off the rust from playing but was really humble and appreciated for another chance to make the most of his future. Prep Hoops sure does want to see Sam work things out and move onto the next level wherever that might take him.

Anderson Knights – Jones  had a whole team of 2018 players that still remain UNSIGNED for next season.

Trevon Jenkins

Khalil Drayton 5’7 Palmetto HS, Trevon Jenkins 5’9 Seneca HS, Myles Chapman 6’5 Seneca HS, Myles Gordy 6’5 Daniel HS, Andrew Cox 6’5 Walhalla HS, Jason Landrum 5’8 Woodmont HS, Malachi Mikel 6’0 Eastside HS, Omar Finley 6’3 Eastside HS and Pantry McKinney 6’0 Eastside HS.

D’Angelo Brown (right #35)

D’Angelo Brown was playing with the Anderson Knights – Noble. Brown a left-handed guard shot several deep 3 three pointers today. Brown (2018) played his high school ball at nearby Liberty HS in Liberty. Brown 5’9 has a very quick shot release.

Deandre Byrd a hometown product from Easley HS was playing with the Anderson Knights – Noble. Byrd 6’2 recently played in the Prep Hoops / Swanny’s UNSIGNED Event. Byrd a two sport athlete also excels as a wide receiver. Byrd averaged 15.3 ppg and 10.7 rebounds this past season.

Sherman Robinson 6’7 post player originally hails from the Bahamas. Robinson is currently enrolled at Legacy Early College. Robinson played the season before at Mount Zion Christian Academy in Durham, NC. Robinson plays strictly around the rim and gets a lot of put-backs to manufacture points. Robinson will need to entertain junior college options.

Jamal Burke 6’10 just finished his high school career by winning back to back state championships at Greenville Southside HS. Burke has a good skill set and can really alter shots on the defensive end. Burke has shown great improvement over the past year.
