Ashton Arnold Tourney : 5 new names to add to 2021 Class
Prep Hoops is always adding names to the database and this weekend in Easley, SC we did just that. Prep Hoops was able to see some new kids that we saw for the first time this weekend. Lets take a look at these 2021 kids from the Upstate.
Jared Rogers – Seneca HS – Anderson Knights (pictured on front)
Rogers was a pleasant surprise today here at the Ashton Arnold Memorial Tourney. Rogers 6’1 was always in the right position on the floor. Rogers has a great motor and excelled in the transition game. Rogers rebounds the ball well on each side of the floor. Rogers shows great length and has the ability to explode to the rim. Rogers came up late in the season for the Bobcats. Rogers will be a name you will hear in the years to come at Seneca HS.
Levi Leard – Seneca HS – Upward Stars Upstate – White
Leard 6’4 moves around the floor very well. Leard can play inside-out on the floor. Leard saw action in 20 games for the Bobcats this season on the varsity roster. Leard averaged 3 ppg last season. Leard is very lite on his feet and shows a great shooting touch. Leard finished everything around the basket today.
Bryson Bishop – Spartanburg Christian – Upward Stars Upstate – White
Bishop 5’9 is a table-setter for this Upward Stars Upstate squad. Bishop is a vocal leader on the floor. Bishop when given a opportunity showed that he had a nice shooting stroke after knocking down a few three pointers.
Nikell Murphy – Dorman HS – Upward Stars Upstate – White
Murphy arrived over at Dorman HS midway through the year after being at Spartanburg Day. Murphy has good footwork and had the ability to finish around the rim. Murphy runs the floor very well and seems very coachable.
Michael Sanders – Greenville HS – Team South Carolina 9th
Sanders 6’4 shows great activity around the cup for his squad. Sanders was a great loose change guy in the paint and hit the glass on both sides of the floor.
