All NorCal Games: Stars of Central v.s. South
Easter Sunday at Las Positas College was the stage for some of the best talent in Northern California to put on a show for the fans. From rim-rattling dunks that had spectators scrabbling for their phones to incredible displays of dribbling and three point marksmanship, the AllNorCal Games hosted by NorCal Sports TV was certainly an event to behold. Here are the brightest stars from the game between the central and southern valleys.
Andre Kelly, 6’9, Lincoln, Committed to Cal Berkeley
The matchup nightmare brought out his bag of tricks with an impresssive display of versatility. His ability to attack off of the dribble makes him difficult to cover. He also has a lethal spin move in traffic that can result in ending up in one of his posters at the rim. Solid mechanics on his jumpshot allow him to augment his slashing ability even more.
William Pallesi, 6’3, Selma, Committed to UC San Diego
You’ll be hard pressed to find a player as skilled as this one. A lethal sniper who can score at will. His gift for changing speeds make deceiptively quick off of the bounce. His I.Q. for the game is tremendous as he displays with his passing ability.
Lamont Couch Jr, 5’10, Tracy
The very definition of lightning in a bottle, this kid is really tough to contain off of the dribble. Regardless of who is in front of him, he is able to get by defenders in the blink of an eye. Strong court vision lets him see the game and predict what will happen next. Oh, and you absolutely can’t back off of him as he is a very good three point shooter.
Camron Wilson, 6’5, Central
This event was loaded with good shooters. But few had the NBA range of the lengthy sniper. His height allows him to shoot over defenders at anytime as well as play in the passing lanes which lead to thunderous dunks. His elite athletic ability arguments his shooting even more so.
Micheal Hayes, 6’4, Merrill West, Committed to Las Positas College
To call this kid a monster athlete wouldn’t do him justice characterized by him flying over a teammate for an impressive throw down. Gifted with elite physical tools, the high flying lefty would love to dunk on the opposition every possession if possible. A strong crossover allows him to slash to the paint at will. He has strong rebounding instincts and an underrated ability to cut to the rim.
Damean Douglas J.r., 6’6, San Joaquin Memorial, Committed to Loyola Marymount
A high level finisher at the rim who isnt bothered by contact. With an array of layups at his disposal, he uses his great 1st step to run past defenders for easy baskets. A strong handle lets him pick his spots deliberately as he is looking for a chance to dunk on everyone. Those same physical tools make him a tough defender as well.
Nathan Kendricks, 6’1, Immanuel, Committed to Fresno Pacific
One of the most effortless jumpshots you’ll ever see, he shoots with such an impressive flow that branches out into the rest of his overall game. An underrated ability to score off of the dribble, defenders are running out their shoes to contain this one.
Amari Stroud, 6’10, Sunnyside, Committed to Iona
With a frame similar to Kevin Durant, the long forward is able to push the ball down the floor with ease as his dribbling skills allow him to walk past defenses. Solid shooting mechanics make him more lethal as he runs around players for dunks or euro steps. His ability to cover so much ground makes him a strong defender as he gets deflections and blocks at will.
