AAU Additions & Roster Moves
This time of year we are fully entrenched into AAU/travel season. This is also the time when we start to see some valuable additions to some squads. There will also be movement within programs as players prove they’ve are ready to play up. Let’s take a look at some recent AAU roster moves:
UTS Elite
UTS Elite is a rising program in Michigan. They recently added valuable players to their 15u and 17u squads.
Darrell Belcher from Grand Rapids Catholic Central, will be joining the UTS Elite 17u roster. He helped his high school team reach the state championship game this season. At 6’3”, Belcher is a lefty guard with nice size. He’s a crafty athlete who plays multiple sports. Belcher has the ability to hunt shots and get buckets. He will fit in nicely with the UTS Elite 17u roster.
Drapher Cribbs, from East Kentwood High School, will be joining up with the UTS Elite 15u. This young man is simply a power player. Cribbs knows how to use his strength and power on the basketball court and will be a valuable addition to the UTS Elite 15u team. He’ll be a great fit with players like Kobe Bufkin and TJ Barnes.
Indy Heat
Drew Lowder will play with the Indy Heat for the rest of the Nike EYBL. Lowder (PG, Pioneer, 2019) is an electric point guard who can score at all three levels. He’s fast with the ball and has solid vertical movement.
The Family 17u
The Family has moved some younger players up to 17u for the remainder of the Nike EYBL. Kevin David Rice (2020, G, Grand Blanc) is a fundamentally sound player who will be up for the challenge. Carlos Johnson (2020, F, Benton Harbor) is a walking double-double with talent to be an elite player nationally. Maliq Carr (2020, F, Oak Park) is a multi sport star and as physical and strong as they come. He’s a versatile player who can play and guard multiple positions.
