Prep Hoops Idaho Player Of The Week (State Tournament Edition) Is Genesis Prep’s Jonny Hillman
Prep Hoops Idaho has been proud to feature our Player of the Week award for the 2017-2018 prep hoops season. Each Player of the Week candidate below has put up impressive stats during the past week in addition to being an integral member for their respective team.
Each week we highlight those who have stood out in what has been a season long tradition spotlighting the top producing prospects in the state of Idaho. It has been a pleasure to feature and recognize the state’s very best talent this past season, congratulations to all the players who earned our PHID POTW recognitions.
This past week was tremendous and some of the state’s very best put on a show in the Treasure Valley. This year’s installment of the state tournament did not disappoint, and the players highlighted below did everything they could to bring success to their respective teams. However, in the end of this week’s voting it was the all too familiar Jonny Hillman of Genesis Prep who took home our Prep Hoops Idaho Player of the Week State Tournament Edition honors.
Hillman has been a beast at the guard position for the Jaguars all season, and entering the state tournament Hillman held averages of 18.7 points, 3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists. Over the final two games and what held on to be Genesis Prep’s path to a state title, their second in as many years, Hillman posted 23.5 points per game and flashed his leadership and true domination at the guard position for his team. Hillman is a top 2019 player in the state and he lived up to that ranking every bit this past week in the Treasure Valley.
Congratulations yet again, to multiple PHID POTW winner, and our State Tournament PHID POTW Jonny Hillman!
