Unsigned Seniors To Keep An Eye On!
Triton HS Guard Maurice Williams: He’s a player that I didn’t know much about but after we left the gym it was clear that he can play on the next level. In the 2nd half of their playoff matchup with Terry Sanford you could see his ability to score the ball and we feel like at a smaller college he could transition well, he’s 6’2 and has a frame that he can add muscle to.
Fairmont HS Guard Derrick Arnette: If you’re looking for a guard that can defend at a very high level then he is your guy. Throughout the season he has faced all types of matchups and performed very well, not only can he defend but he also scores the ball well. Schools at the JUCO, NAIA, & D3 level should all give him a look as he could be a nice pickup this late in the game.
Clinton HS Wing Zion Autry: His strength and athletic ability are what catch your attention almost instantly , although he is only 6’3 he plays much bigger than that. JUCO programs should be giving him a call, last but not least we saw this season that he knows how to win games as his team was one of the top 2A teams in the state.
New Life Christian Wing Arshon King: Throughout the season he had some very nice performances although he had to deal with a few different injuries. Body physique wise he is very advanced for a high school student and shouldn’t have much of an issue with physical play at the next level.
New Hanover HS Forward Hayden Edgar:D3 programs should be on him without a doubt, he’s 6’5 with a nice skillset and high IQ for the game. One of the attributes that I liked the most about him was his ability to make passes out of the post, many times we see players get the ball inside and only look to score.
