This class is even stacked with regards to the post players. This class of bigs and their shooting ability is stellar and more so now than ever before, you have to be able to shoot at every spot on the floor.
Mason Gillis hasn’t yet taken completely over as a shooter but when he does, he is really good. Great form and release and it is becoming a lot more prevalent in his offensive approach. This summer is the time to see that part of his game take off.
Sam Devault has always been a good shooter. He has built his game around that and his ability to play on the wing at 6’9 has really given him options at the next level. He should be able to transition pretty well with that skill.
Sawyer Stoltz, for his size, is a really good shooter. He’s listed at 6’8 but by the time AAU starts he might be over 6’10. He’s growing like crazy and as a catch-and-shoot guy, his release looks pretty good. Getting those opportunities to showcase that is key this summer.
Ryan Segall is a big shooter and loves to play down in the corners. He’s got good length and the form looks good. He’s more of a post guy who can step out and that is really what you want more so than reversed.
Max Newman has really come on this last year as a shooter. He’s a big forward, taking up room but so nimble with his footwork. The fact he can step out and shoot makes him a very interesting take for a school.
