Prep Hoops takes a look at what players decided to end their recruitment this week.
Jamonty Williams informed Prep Hoops that he will attend Lander University (SC) (NCAA D2) next season. Williams 6’7 from Wilson HS is a athletic forward who helped the Tigers advance to the Class 4A State Championship Game this past March. The Tigers lost to Ridge View 74-70.
Anthoney Ray informed Prep Hoops that he will go to Coker College (SC) (NCAA D2) next fall. Ray a slender wing player averaged 18.6 ppg this eason for the Midland Valley HS Mustangs. Ray finished his career with 869 points.
Kevin Williamson and Calvin Mathis will remain teammates next season at USC-Salkehatchie. The dup played this past season at Aiken HS. Williamson recently played in the North Carolina-South Carolina All Star Game in Wilmington, NC. Mathis played this past weekend in the Prep Hoops / Swanny’s Roundball Review UNSIGNED Event in Sumter.
Williamson missed part of the season this year with a injury.
Mathis 6’5 averaged 10.3 ppg, 5.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists for the Fighting Green Hornets.
Maliek Wilcox a point guard from Legacy Early College in Greenville will join Williamson and Mathis in Walterboro next fall. Wilcox started his high school career at South Pointe HS before transferring over to the Lions this past fall.
Robert Braswell will take a official visit to UMASS on April 6 according to Blythewood Head Coach Zeke Washington.
Koby Fulton 6’3 point guard from Kingstree HS informed Prep Hoops that he plans on visiting Lawson State Community College in Alabama next week. Fulton originally from New York, NY averaged 10.2 ppg and 3.7 assists this season for the Jaguars, Fulton played in the Prep Hoops / Swanny’s Roundball Review UNSIGNED Event this past weekend.
Jerrel Kelly 6’9 left-handed forward will visit Gulf Coast State College (FL) next week according to Laurence Manning Academy Head Coach Will Epps. Kelly has received interest from Chipola College, Trinity Valley Community College, Seward County Community College and USC Salkehatchie this fall according to Epps.
