Prep Hoops takes a look at some recruiting news from around the Palmetto State.
Robert Braswell ranked #6 in the 2018 Palmetto State Class will visit Charleston Southern University this coming week according to Blythewood Head Coach Zeke Washington. Maryland, Wake Forest and UMASS all came into see Braswell last week according to Washington. Jonathan Breeland a guard will join Braswell on the visit according to Washington.
Jaron Williams ranked #11 in the 2018 Palmetto State Class has been released out of his letter of intent at Longwood University. Williams who plays at York Prep has told Prep Hoops that he has heard from North Florida, College of Charleston, Boston University and South Carolina State since getting his release. Williams will play AAU with PSB (NC) this spring.
Dontrell Shuler and Mike Marsh plan on playing AAU this spring with Team Loaded NC according to Erick Glenn. Glenn used to coach the Karolina Khaos which will not be operating this AAU season. Shuler 6’2 guard plays at Legacy Early College while Marsh 6’9 played at Gray Collegiate.
#13 ranked Jakobe Dill a sharp-shooting guard is no longer at Heritage Academy in Hilton Head. Dill recently told Prep Hoops he has returned home to Beaumont, TX. Dill played AAU with the Houston Defenders last season.
Some other changes at Heritage Academy has the Kyle and Kyran Rawson have both left the program and moved over to Madrid, Spain. Both players are playing club ball in Spain currently. Hammerheads Head Coach Cody Hopkins has left and taken a assistant coaching position at Navarro College in Corsicana, Texas.
Jerrel Kelly ranked #17 in the 2018 Palmetto State class has received plenty of interest from the junior college ranks. Kelly 6’9 left-handed forward will play in the 3rd Annual Swanny’s Roundball Review/Prep Hoops UNSIGNED Senior Event next Sunday March 25 at Lakewood HS in Sumter.
Grant Singleton informed Prep Hoops he will visit St Thomas Aquinas (NY) (NCAA D2) this coming Thursday. Singleton was named MVP of the North-South All Star Game this weekend in Lexington. Singleton scored 17 points in the win. Wells Hoag took home the honor for the North Team. Singleton will be in attendance next weekend at the 3rd Annual Swanny’s Roundball Review / Prep Hoops UNSIGNED Senior Event.
3rd Annual Swanny’s Roundball Review / Prep Hoops UNSIGNED Senior Event will have 60-65 UNSIGNED players playing next Sunday March 25 in Sumter at Lakewood HS. The action will start at 11:00 A.M. with each player playing in 2 games.
