PSB Elite 15U Team Preview:
Roster
DeAnte Green – 6’7 Christ School – Really nice looking young prospect. Spent time on Varsity competing against a roster with numerous Division 1 recruits. Long, athletic rim protector that’s still growing. Soft touch around the rim and good hands. Has a lot of potential!
Tymon Szymanski – 6’7 Rabun Gap School – Skilled Euro style 3/4 prospect. Can be a versatile inside/out threat with size. Good shooter from 3 and can also bang inside displaying a soft touch around the rim. Once his body fills out he’ll be one to watch.
Drake Maye – 6’4 Hough HS – Younger brother of Luke Maye. As a freshman, he started many games at Hough this season. Physically ahead of his peers due to being a QB as well. Strong and athletic frame. Will be a matchup problem for teams with his ability to get to the basket and also shoot the 3. Certainly a prospect to keep your eye out for.
Trae Benham – 6’1 Concord First Assembly – Played a ton of minutes for a First Assembly team that went deep into the playoffs. Deadly shooter from 3 and shows the ability to put the ball on the floor and get to good scoring spots. Capable of playing offball or running the point. If he grows some more, his potential will be even higher.
Blane St. Clair – 6’3 Watauga HS – Another very capable shooter with range. Can shoot really well off the bounce and the catch. Can handle it well enough to get to the spots he needs to be successful. A vocal leader and willing defender. Will be interesting to watch how he progresses this spring/summer.
Nate Bradford – 6’5 Tuscola HS – Long, rangy wing player. Can shoot it from 3 and also shows good touch off the dribble. Once his body develops he will be a player to watch.
Jordan Bly – 5’9 Myers Park HS – Son of former NFL Star Dre Bly. Extremely fast PG with an extra gear. Gets down the floor in a hurry and pushes the pace well. Uses speed/quickness to blow by defenders and get into the paint. Can be a pest for 94 feet on defense.
N’Fari Benjamin – 5’10 Rabun Gap School – Harlem kid with some NY flair to his game. Really good speed, strength and handle to blowby defenders and get into the lane. Always looks to make the available pass. Shooters will love playing with him. Look for him to make an immediate impact on defense.
Jayden Lawrence – 5’11 Cox Mill HS – Developing guard with room to grow. Strong frame and quick feet will allow him to assert himself defensively and carve out a niche while his offensive game develops. Willing to stick his nose in there and win the 50/50 plays.
Donavan Fitzgerald – 6’2 Charlotte Latin School – Long, good sized guard with the ability to pressure the basketball on the perimeter. Offense will continue to develop but he can carve out a niche on the defensive end right now.
