Oklahoma Class 6A Players to Watch at State
The Class 6A Oklahoma State Tournament is upon us as games will trip on Thursday afternoon. Prep Hoops Oklahoma breaks down eight players one from each team you should know.
Tauriawn Knight 2018 Edmond Santa Fe Guard
Knight is a player that is hard to stop. He is fearless and takes on anyone who is guarding him. He has no problem blowing by defenders with his speed and finishes at the rim with the best of them around the state. Knight is also a constant presence on the defensive end. He forces turnovers and plays in your face defense for the entire game. He is headed to South Dakota next year to continue his basketball career.
Michiah McQuarters 2018 Union Guard
McQuarters has had a big year for Union. He has been a leader on the court and is always knocking down shots for the Redskins. McQuarters attacks the rim well and brings intensity to his game. There will be no doubt that McQuarters wants it because of the way he plays with his heart on his sleeve.
Josh Robinson 2018 Broken Arrow Guard
Robinson is one of the most electrifying players in the state. Robinson can turn a game on its head at any point by throwing down a monster dunk. Recently, Robinson’s shot from the perimeter has been falling as well. With Robinson playing as well as he has lately the Tigers will be hard to stop.
Colt Savage 2018 Sand Springs Guard
Savage is a do it all type of guy. He is a smart player and finds the mismatch and exploits it on the offensive end. He knocks down huge shots for the Sandites and is a big reason they were able to make it to State. He has no problem banging down low and is hard matchup with his size at guard.
Jalen Crutchfield 2018 Norman North Wing
Crutchfield is a sniper from three-point range for Norman North. Over his high school career, Crutchfield has done a great job of improving his handle of the basketball to take his game to the next level. Next year Stetson University in Florida will be the home for Crutchfield. Norman North enters the tournament as one of the favorites.
Drew Tennial 2019 Edmond Memorial Guard
Tennial and Edmond Memorial are the surprise to the Class 6A tournament field. What makes Tennial a player to watch is his versatility being able to be effective with or without the ball in his hands. Don’t be surprised when Tennial plays well on the big stage at state.
Rondel Walker 2020 Putnam City West Guard
Walker is the youngest player to be featured in this article. Over the season Walker has proven to be one of the top talents in the Oklahoma 2020 Class. He is a crafty Guard excelling at making others around him better. Walker already holds an offer from Oklahoma State.
Adokiye Iyaye 2018 Putnam City North Wing
Iyaye is a talented Wing that is rated as the top player in Class 6A. He signed to NCAA Divison I program UTSA. Before Iyaye heads off to college he has a Gold Ball on his mind. Iyaye is exciting to watch because of numerous talents. The biggest thing that sticks out to me is his ability to play at a high level non-stop on both ends.
