Jus Byerly Showcase Standouts Part 1
Scotland County HS Junior Wing Isaiah Bostick: Tucked away in Scotland County is a player that is a college prospect without a doubt. He’s long, athletic, skilled and has a nice overall game that should only improve over time. The entire package of his game was ion display, he threw down some high flying dunks that impressed the fans and even opposing player.
New Life Christian Sophomore Reggie Raynor: When he’s locked in and playing aggressive, he is a player that catches the attention of colleges on the D1 and D2 level. He has nice size for a wing player at 6’5 and is very athletic, his jump shot and ball handling skills are improving, once he puts it all together, he can be very good.
Hendersonville HS Junior Benjamin Beeker: He’s tall with a very strong frame and finishes very well inside the paint. What really impressed me about him was how well he finished the paint and how he kept the game very simple. He didn’t try to do more than he was comfortable with doing, he rebounded, blocked shots and ran the floor well.
Fayetteville Christian Junior Wing Daquan Chambers: The ability to slash to the basket as well as getting after it on the defensive end is what helped him be productive throughout the day. He plays the game with a high amount on intensity and with continued work on his shooting mechanics, he can be a solid.
Cox Mill HS Junior Guard Cody Cline: Fresh off another state championship, he is a player that gets after it on the defensive end. Throughout the day he: forced turnovers, came up with deflections and offensively was productive, you have to like the intensity that he plays with regardless of the situation and how much he wants to win games.
West Brunswick HS Sophomore Wing Jadyn Parker: Potential, Potential, Potential, that’s the word that screams at you when you watch him play. Skillset wise he has a lot of the tools , if he continues to work on his strength and being more aggressive, he could be a player that develops nicely before it’s all said and done.
