Roster Breakdown: In a year where there is a ton of talent in the state, this is one of the better teams you are going to find. There is a lot of size and skill in this group and enough guys with upside to dream on. With guys like Frankie Davidson, Ali Ali, and David Ejah, you have players that will draw in college coaches at higher levels but really, this group has a little bit of everything. Maul and Dial on the ball will be really quick and give them some pace and Hales is a dynamic playmaker who should help setup the shooters, of which they have many. Sawyer Stoltz, David Ejah, Hank Pulver, Andrew Owens, and Davidson can all really shoot and all have size. That is the other thing about this group, they have 6 guys 6’5 or bigger. A little bit of something for every position and the upside to watch multiple times.
Guy You Have To Watch: Frankie Davidson (Blackhawk Christian)
Frankie is a guy you have to really watch a time or two to appreciate. He’s 6’5, athletic, long, and a really good shooter. He’s a guy that should be getting some Low-Major looks and if he has a big summer, it wouldn’t surprise if he got an offer or two. He’s a playmaker on offense and could really shine once he gets hot.
Best Bet To End Up Breaking Out: Ali Ali (East Noble)
Ali Ali is the name to pay attention to with regards to recruitment. He’s had a big high school season and grown and from all indications he’s right there on the verge of blowing up. The size, length, and skill seem to be coming together right now and that is great for college programs looking for a steal.
Who Should Be Watching: LM-NAIA
This group has size, skill, and they all hover in a very small window of level. Low-Major schools can take a look because there are realistically three guys that can to that level. DII’s have enough athleticism and skill to see the upside but most will fall in that NAIA range and be high-end there.
