Three state champions were crowned as each classifications tournament delivered big games and exciting moments. Cinderella teams found there way into some later season wins and into the final rankings. What a great season!

What a run by Yankton! Matthew Mors is the real deal folks as he leads Yankton to the state championship as a freshman. Great seasons from both Rapid City Schools as well as Harrisburg who’s seniors made quite the turn around in four years. Douglas got hot at the end of the years and finished strong.

Only preseason prediction I got right was Madison winning the Class A championship. Tea made another impressive run as they knocked off previously unbeaten Sioux Falls Christian. Also, hats off to west river teams who made nice runs to get into state and competed well on that stage.

Close on this one… I had Clark/Willow Lake losing in the championship however I did not predict Sully Buttes winning it. We did have the ranked #1 for most of the 2nd half of the season and they proved it. Also a big congrats to Timber Lake who one of the most unlikely runs to a 5th pace finish!
