Fab 40 Standouts: Forwards & Centers
Northside-Jax Unsigned Senior Forward Jason Mixon: This event gave him the opportunity to show what he can do best, he ran the floor, finished above the rim, blocked shots, and rebounded at a very high rate. He is the type of player that you don’t have to run any plays for but he can still make a high impact on the game.
Crossroads Christian Unsigned Senior Forward Zaire Edwards: Don’t be surprise to see him put a nice amount of double/doubles at whatever college he decides to attend. His ability to score the ball inside the paint was already known but he also showed us some ability to step out and play on the wing. Most importantly he is a great young man and will be a very nice asset to whatever college he chooses both on and off the court.
Mt Zion Christian Academy Unsigned Senior Julian Savoury: Body wise he will still need to add some muscle to his frame but he is a skilled player that showed some flashes of how good he can be. He doesn’t show away from playing inside the paint offensively and on defense he does a nice job of blocking and altering shots.
Beddingfield HS Unsigned Senior Forward Octavius Lacey: When he locked in and focused, he is a player that college truly like. He’s 6’5, very athletic with a long wingspan and has a nice amount of upside to his game. Defensively he has all the tools to be successful as he can defend multiple positions, as well as protecting the basket by using height, athleticism and length.
Mount Zion Christian Academy Unsigned Senior Center Augustine Ominu: Stats wise he was the best player at camp, he led all players in scoring at 14 points per game, as well as leading all players in rebounds with 6 boards a night. Keeping the game simple is what makes him an efficient player, he rebounds, finishes, blocks shots and uses his muscle to make plays. Programs looking for a solid big man should give him a call, he’s 6’8 with a college body already.
