The high school basketball season has almost come to an end.  State Tournament starts next week.  It is now time for PrepHoopsKentucky to unveil our All-State Teams.  Here are your Class of 2018 All-State Teams! The teams are presented in no particular order.

First Team

De’Torrion Ware (Christian County) – The state’s second leading scorer at 31.9 points per game, Ware put his teammates on his back more than once on their way to 22 wins. Ware also pulled down over 9 rebounds per game for the Colonels. Seeing the other team’s best defender every night, Ware still managed to shoot over 50% from the field.

Trevon Faulkner (Mercer County) – Like Pearson and Ware, Faulkner is a finalist for Mr Basketball. Trevon finished his senior season averaging 26.5 points and 9 rebounds per game. Trevon also eclipsed 3,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds. Trevon will attend NKU in the fall.

Andrew Taylor (Corbin) – Another Mr Basketball finalist who will finish his career with over 3,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds, Taylor led his Corbin team back to Rupp Arena for the first time in his high school career. Andrew averaged nearly 29 points and 10 rebounds per game for the Red Hounds. Taylor has signed to play at Furman next season.

Adam Kunkel (Cooper) – A 6’3 guard who will attend Ohio Valley Conference power Belmont for his college career, Kunkel averaged 20 points and nearly 8 rebounds per game this season while putting up incredible shooting splits of 51/45/83 while being hounded by the opposing team’s best defender every night.

Jayden Scrubb (Trinity) – One of the premier athletes in the state, Scrubb is the back to back Most Valuable Player in the 7th Region.
