2018 The Rock G Antrell Charlton talks SIAA title, recruitment and more
Earlier this month, Antrell Charlton and The Rock captured the SIAA title in a 73-59 win in the final over Victory Rock at host DME.
The 6’3″ guard says he learned how to be a better leader this year more than ever. In terms of his four-year high school career, he captured the sentiment of working hard every single day he stepped into the gym.
Charlton’s lone offer currently is from Stetson. He says Mercer, Arkansas State, Jacksonville, Eastern Kentucky and Winthrop have been showing heavy interest in him as of late.
He played the last two summers for the Upward Stars during AAU ball. He says his time was there helped prepare him for his senior year in a big way.
Charlton pointed to his passing, mid-range jumper, defense and IQ as his biggest strengths. He’s aiming to become more explosive at the rim through traffic and improve his ball handling ability.
In that SIAA Final, Charlton did some really nice things offensively, scoring 10 points. On the other side of the ball was where he shined the most. He’s a strong and tough defender who doesn’t make life easy for opposing players. Charlton should find a home awfully soon.
