Xavier gets on the board in 2019 with Samari Curtis
Chris Mack and his staff received their first 2019 commit on Monday night after Samari Curtis announced his decision. Curtis will bring an offensive skill set to the Big East program. He has a very high playmaking ability and will be able to score the ball in multiple ways at the next level. He has shown that he can get to the free throw line a lot because of his ability to drive past defenders and draw contact around the rim. Xavier is getting an extremely athletic wing player that can shoot the ball very well from all areas on the court and overall he will be a great offensive attack to the Musketeers. Mack is currently ranked 8th in our 2019 Ohio state rankings.
Curtis explained why he chose Xavier, “It is just a great school, it has a great staff and a great academic program.”
He described his game as, “I can score from 3, I can shoot midrange and I can get to the rim. When I am at Xavier, I expect to be used as a playmaker and scorer.”
Now that Curtis has his decision out of the way, he can work on improving his game, “I want to improve on everything but I mostly I want to improve on my strength.”
Xavier can expect a guy that goes hard whenever he is on the court and a natural bucket getter.
