Lots of players in the state of South Dakota are already committed and or signed with a school at this point of the year. However, there is a group of athletes that are still uncommitted at this point. If there are some college programs looking for players still, these guys would be worth taking a look at.
Cole Bergan (Aberdeen Central) – Cole is a 6’7” highly skilled player. He had lots of division 1 interest early on and was committed to division 2 Northern State before opening his recruitment back up. He can shoot the three and handle the ball well for his size. Has a chance at the next level as a 3 or a 4.
Kailleb Walton-Blanden (Rapid City Central) – 6’3” and great athletics makes Walton-Balnden a tremendous prospect. He has the ability to play on or off the ball and can score it at a high rate. Has a chance to be a solid perimeter defender as well. D2 coaches who have a spot left and NAIA’s who need an athlete should check this kid out.
Dillon Barrow (Sioux Falls Lincoln) – Here’s a tremendous athlete that has a great build on him and can be a nice defender at the next level. After an early season injury did not allow him to play for the majority of the season, he is back at it now. Barrow is a great slasher and finisher around the rim who can handle the ball as well. Injury may have set his recruitment back, however expect big things as state tourney starts.
Christophe Bwanya (Sioux Falls Lincoln) – Bwanye has been the main ball handler and distributor this year for SF Lincoln. He has great length as a PG and has excelled getting the ball to his teammates for scoring opportunities. Had D2 and NAIA interest in the fall, he would be a nice addition late to a program looking to add length and athleticism at the guard spot.
Lincoln Unruh (Sioux Falls Chrisitan) – A solid PG who can really shoot it and knows how to play. Currently leading the #1 ranked team in Class A with an undefeated record. Has the ability to score but also distribute. Could be a kid that gets better at the next level with strength and maturity as he gets older.
