Top Remaining Unsigned Senior Guards
Within the last 24 hours, two of the top remaining unsigned seniors have come off the board as Ja’Kavien Lewis (Flint Carman-Ainsworth) has committed to Northwood and Carl Bow Jr (Hazel Park) has committed to Ferris State. With both of these guards announcing their college decision, I thought it to be a good time to take a look at who’s left at the guard position.
Lamar Norman (Godwin Heights)
This is perhaps the most obvious one. Norman is one of the top players in the state regardless of commitment status and has more than proved it this year. He holds a plethora of mid-major D1 offers and has been hearing from the likes of UCLA, Butler and Minnesota at the high-major level.
Bryce Washington (Southfield Christian)
Another obvious one here, Washington holds double-digit D1 offers. He picked up his first high-major offer from Pittsburg this season. He has a museum’s worth of accomplishment on the basketball court and will surely make an impact wherever he goes.
CJ Robinson (Clarkston)
When most people hear Clarkston, they think Foster Loyer, Thomas Kithier or Taylor Currie. But for those who’ve been involved in the Michigan hoop scene throughout the past year or two, CJ Robinson comes to mind as well. A two-way player who takes pride in locking up the opponents best guard, Robinson is a true winner. He’s holds a D2 offer from Lake Superior State.
Jacob Boonyasith (Jenison)
One of West Michigan’s premier players, Boonyasith is a smooth scorer who plays what’s commonly referred to as the combo guard. Boonyasith currently holds a D1 offer from Air Force to go with a couple of D2 offers.
Jack Ammerman (Ann Arbor Skyline)
Ammerman has been having a solid year for Skyline thus far. One of the state’s top set shooters, he’s also capable of putting the ball on the floor and making a play. He has the grades to match (or top, depending on how you look at it) his play on the court. Ammerman holds a D2 offer from Lawerence Tech.
