Small College Prospects in NC
Here is a look at some of the small college prospects in North Carolina.
Khalil Chapman – 6’5″ G/F 2018 Queens Grant (Charlotte – has a knack for always doing something good. He is not a player who will “WOW” you during a game, but when you look at the book…you’d find he finished with a double-double. He sacrificially played the center position for us last year when our big man went down. He is a very good left-handed 3pt shooter; who knows when to use his shot-fake and hit the pull up (“Stretch 4”). Good academics in the classroom.
AJ Gallagher – 6’6″ F 2018 Queens Grant (Charlotte)-big kid (220lbs) with college ready body. Very strong academics (1190 SAT – no writing). He can bang down low or step out with range…very good on “pick and pop”. Tenacious rebounder and shot blocker. Great leader and hard worker.
Prince Lemon – 5’10” PG 2018 Queens Grant (Charlotte)-speedy PG with good vision and ability to hit the pull up. He is a high academic student-athlete. He is a fierce competitor and tireless defender.
Matthew Hines 6’1 G 2018 (Davidson Day)-Matthew is coming off of a successful Jr year. He will look to partner with Gavin to provide senior leadership for this very young team. Matthew can play the off guard position with sound defensive play and the ability to get to the rim. Matthew is another high IQ guy that doesn’t make many mistakes on the floor. He has good range out to 3 on his jump shot and has an array of floaters that are extremely hard to defend.
Brandon Aumiller 6’1, G 2019 (Mountain Heritage HS)-Athletic and strong, Aumiller does a good job of getting his hands into passing lanes and coming up with steals that lead to easy baskets. Has the ability to finish above the rim in transition, he is strong and has a nice body for the next level; he does a good job of knocking down mid-range jumpers and floaters in the paint. He is athletic enough to grab rebounds and block oppositions’ shots.
