Recruiting Report: Nate Hendler (2018)
The Holy Family Fire have earned their way into the Class AA top ten led by the senior play of talent like Nate Hendler
When asked how the Fire have pushed their way into the top ten Nate kept it simple and to the point.
“We have been able to compete,” Hendler said. “We show up, get it done, and win games.”
Hendler is the main name that people are aware of but the all around play of Griffin Johnson and the explosive season that Lincoln Cizek has put together have the Fire as a contender.
“We have the same team,” Hendler said. “We graduated only 60 points from last year. I expect great things from our seasoned team.”
Hendler is scoring 18.8 points per game while grabbing 6.5 rebounds a night. Nathan is also a tough competitor who plays within his offense. Hendler is a good passer and a high percentage finisher.
“There are many ways to win a basketball game,” Nate said. “I’m trying to do the little things on and off the court to better my team’s chances.
“Our goal is to win games and have fun. That will take us far and turn some heads.”
Hendler will have several MIAC options. When we saw Holy Family play a couple weeks ago there were three schools in attendance watching him play.
“Many MIAC schools have been in contact with me for basketball and football. I plan on playing basketball and having a great education.”
