Continue ReadingJohn Marshall 2019 PG, Levar Allen is a 6’0 bully on the court. With his stocky frame, but lighting quickness, Allen is a nightmare for many teams. His ability to score at the basket ranks amongst some of the best point guards Virginia, and the country has to offer. Allen has worked hard to improve his shooting ability, and that hard work has not gone without notice. It is hard to exactly place Allen, but he shows signs of a high major point guard, and with his continued success, should make this prediction come true. We spoke with Levar on the current season, and here are his thoughts.
- How is the season going?
“The season is going pretty good, but we do have a few things we need to improve on as a team if we want to win a state title.”
- What do you think has improved about your game from last season?
“Something that I have improved on this season from last season is my ability to shoot. Last year the talk of the town was that I couldn’t shoot or make free throws when I needed too. I feel like this season I am more confident in my shooting ability.”
- What do you feel you can bring to a college program?
“I feel like I can bring leadership, positive energy, and something that just cannot be taught, heart.”
- Goals for the rest of the season?
“Just keep winning. And lead my team to a state title.”
Levar will look to lead his team to victory this Saturday, against Trinity Episcopal, in the annual Coaches 4 the Cure, to be held at the Arthur Ashe Center in Richmond, Virginia.
