Recruiting Report: Le’Treveon Jones (2018)
Booker T. Washington senior guard Le’Treveon Jones is still on the board, and the 5-foot-10 guard could be a steal for an area program.
Louisiana’s 78th-ranked 2018, Jones says he’s been seeing some recruitment come in, but is still waiting for some potential scholarship offers to become official.
“I’m being recruited by Grambling State University and Alcorn State University, I have schools like LSU-Shreveport, Southern University, and Centenary (LA) who like me if the D1 scholarships don’t come,” said Jones.
“But my recruitment goals is I want a D1 scholarship.”
Jones is a true point guard with a knack for both scoring and setting up his teammates.
“My strengths are my IQ, passing and my scoring ability. I’m working on improving my play off the ball a lot,” he said.
Even playing with a slightly injured ankle, Jones has been dominant this season, averaging 19 points and five assists per game. And with his senior season coming to an end, look for him to help the Lions make a run in the postseason.
“My role on the team is the leader, and I’ve played good this year, although I do feel like I can take my game way up to a higher level; but I’ll keep progressing,” said Jones.
“My team has has made a big turnaround this season. We progressed as the season kept going, right now we’re looking at making a good run in the playoffs.”
