Recruiting Report: Jordan Shorter (2021)
2021 guard Jordan Shorter made the move to Broward County for his freshman season.
Previously at Westwood Christian in Miami, the 6’4″, 196-pounder transferred to Ft. Lauderdale.
He says he’s grown a lot mentally over the last year.
“I learned that everything has to do with your mental state of mind. Meaning you have to stay positive all game and as soon as you let someone get under your skin that’s when you’ve lost already,” Shorter said. “I’m proud of the way I carry myself on and off the court.”
The Flying L’s fell short of a playoff push with a 10-13 record and a third place finish in Class 8A-District 14 behind Blanche Ely and St. Thomas Aquinas.
This summer, Shorter played for Team Breakdown. He called it a great experience pointing to the coaches as people that care about you and want to see you do well.
No offers have come yet for the 2021 prospect, but he’s drawn interest from Tulane and FGCU.
Shorter pointed to his confidence and maturity as his biggest strengths currently.
Following the mold of big and strong point guards, Shorter is on the fast track for success. He’s paving his way already and he belongs in the conversation as one of the top 2021 prospects in the state. This summer will help him develop his game further and Shorter should be able to take advantage.
