Recruiting Report: Donald Lee (2018)
While the season hasn’t been too kind to North Central (IN) this year, one player has stepped into a new role and excelled in senior Donald Lee. Last offseason, North Central lost a ton of their roster and this new team is completely different than a year ago putting players like Lee in new positions.
Donald, a 6’5 wing, has really stepped up on the offensive side of the ball. Known more for his athletic ability and defensive presence, Lee is starting to put his offense at the forefront and is averaging 13.7 points per game. Even more so, his three point shooting has improved a bit and he’s more aggressive looking for scoring opportunities.
Where Lee really has stood out is his versatility. A long rangy athlete that can rebound, defend, and play and defend 1 through 4. He’s grabbing 3.8 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game. That kind of ability is what has brought in a ton of different suitors with some offers.
To date, Donald Lee holds offers from Navy, Florida Southern, and IUPUI. Joining those offers as interested schools are Air Force, Brown, IU-East, and Lincoln Memorial. He’s already been on the campus of each of the schools that he has offers from.
The great part of where he is at right now is that he pulled in those three offers before the offense came around. While North Central isn’t as good as it was a year ago, it has allowed guys like Donald Lee to get more opportunities and develop and now he’s at a point where you can see a bit more of what he can do in the future.
