Injuries are an unfortunate part of high school basketball. Dennis Oskarek from Riverview High School, has fought through an injury and is trying to respond as well as possible. After a solid start to the season, a sprained ankle sidelined Oskarek for 4 games. The senior guard recently came back and is working his way back into form. Oskarek had garnered attention due to his energetic style of play and he is a young man that could have a huge influence on his teams success come playoff time. I had a recent Question and Answer session with Oskarek.
Question: What one word describes you best?
Dennis Oskarek: Active.
Question: What is your favorite NBA team?
Dennis Oskarek: Detroit Pistons.
Question: How do you feel about you and your teams performance so far this season?
Dennis Oskarek: We has a rough start to the season but we really worked hard and turned our season around and have the chance to be 2nd in the Huron League which we haven’t done in a long time.
Question: What do you see yourself doing after basketball?
Dennis Oskarek: I plan on going to college and starting up as a real estate agent.
Question: Who is your favorite NBA player?
Dennis Oskarek: Yogi Ferrell because I love seeing a little guy playing in the NBA.
Question: What is your favorite form of social media?
Dennis Oskarek: I like Instagram the most.
Question: What class do you enjoy most?
Dennnis Oskarek: I like English.
Question: If you could choose 1 food, what would it be?
Dennis Oskarek: I really like sushi and salmon.
Question: What other things do you enjoy besides basketball?
Dennis Oskarek: I really enjoy hanging with my friends and seeing my family.
Question: Do you have a hero? If you do, who is it and why?
Dennis Oskarek: My grandparents for starting such a good family.
