Prospect Watch: Mark Possis (2019)
Six-foot-3 junior Mark Possis is the only non senior in the Apple Valley rotation right now and will be the guy they lean on next year. We caught up with Mark today.
“Things are going well for the team this season,” Mark said. “We just regained outright possession of first in the conference, and we’re looking to make another run at state this year. This year I’ve been shooting the ball well from three and playing good defense.”
Mark comes off the bench and takes a couple shots a game plus plays whatever role his team needs as they work their way to defending a state title.
“I’ve seen improvement in my game through my rebounding, and general on the defensive side of the ball. I also feel like I’m slashing better than I ever have.”
The Eagles are 20-4 on the season with a 13 game winning streak.
“As of right now, just coming off a big win at Lakeville South, we’re hitting our stride as a unit,” Possis said. “We’re playing the best we’ve played all season and have big ambitions and expectations as we approach the postseason.”
Mark has received some early interest from college coaches in the way of future camp invites.
“I’ve received some college prospect overnight camp invites,” Possis said.
“Schools that have sent me these invited include University of Chicago, UC San Diego, University of Tampa, Augustana, and Brown.”
