Prospect Spotlight: Kai Schexnayder (2020)
An up-and-coming guard in the Pelican State, 5’11 Patterson guard Kai Schexnayder is coming off the heels of a strong sophomore season, and eager for a 16U spring and summer ahead.
He’s looking forward to showcasing his ability to shoot the rock, in addition to his general play-making.
“My best skill is how I create my own shot, also, I impact the game with my shooting,” said Schexnayder.
“When it comes to it, my role this season for Patterson has been to score and facilitate when needed”
He added: “And my season has been going the way I’ve been wanting it to. I just do what I can to make my team better and get wins”
His goals for the coming spring and summer are to improve his body and skill-set, and hopefully start to get some additional Division I interest.
“My offseason plan is to get bigger and stronger physically, and get even better at my shooting. But also, I will be going to camps this summer for basketball as well as football,” said Schexnayder.
“I’ve gotten a letter from Northwestern State University, but other than that, no I haven’t been getting any recruitment.”
He added “And my goal this offseason is to be very successful at the camps I’m attending this summer. Also, get more letters from D1 colleges, and hopefully an offer.”
