Preview: Class 3, District 6
To say that District 6 is loaded would be a tremendous understatement. Hosted by Duchesne, there are at least three teams in the field that are capable of getting all the way to the Final Four and challenging for a state championship, including No. 2 seed Northwest Academy, who won the state title a year ago. No. 1 seed Trinity and No. 3 Duchesne are also capable of making deep runs.
But, if one of those three teams slips up, No. 4 Orchard Farm and No. 5 Lutheran North could spring an upset. That was the case last season as Lutheran North entered the tournament as the No. 7 seed and advanced to the championship game, sparked by an upset of Duchesne in the first round.
