This is the first of many district tournament previews coming up by Prep Hoops Missouri in the next couple of weeks. Perennial SEMO power Charleston received the top seed once again in District 1. The Bluejays are annual contenders for a berth in the Final Four. They field another strong team, but they could get a good battle from No. 2 seed Malden or No. 3 seed East Prairie. Malden extended Charleston to double overtime on Feb. 3 before the Bluejays escaped with an 81-79 victory.
