Photo Diary: Wilson Central-Hendersonville
With 1:44 to play, Wilson Central (#4 seed) emptied their bench because the embarrassment had to end. It needed to. Hendersonville’s Commandos (#5 seed) barely competed the final three quarters falling 60-36 in the final District 9AAA quarterfinal.
With the blowout win Wilson Central will get the favored Mt. Juliet Golden Bears Saturday night in the Hendersonville gymnasium.

Cooper Smith (right) had a tough night. In addition to his team sustaining a large deficit all night, Cooper missed shots he ordinarily drops in. Also, Cooper missed five free throws. He finished with 15 points.
Wilson Central featured a rabid bench all evening (above middle).
Unsigned senior Gavin Johnson 25 points finished off 7-12 field goals. He dropped in four three-pointers. Johnson managed to make all seven of his free throws. The four rebounds and three assists added to Johnson’s sparkling game resume.
