With 1:44 to play, Wilson Central (#4 seed) emptied their bench because the embarrassment had to end.  It needed to.  Hendersonville’s Commandos (#5 seed) barely competed the final three quarters falling 60-36 in the final District 9AAA quarterfinal.

With the blowout win Wilson Central will get the favored Mt. Juliet Golden Bears Saturday night in the Hendersonville gymnasium.

The Wildcat Head Coach (left) communicated succinctly with his charges all night.

Cooper Smith (right) had a tough night.  In addition to his team sustaining a large deficit all night, Cooper missed shots he ordinarily drops in. Also, Cooper missed five free throws.  He finished with 15 points.

Wilson Central featured a rabid bench all evening (above middle).

Unsigned senior Gavin Johnson 25 points finished off 7-12 field goals.  He dropped in four three-pointers.  Johnson managed to make all seven of his free throws.  The four rebounds and three assists added to Johnson’s sparkling game resume.
