NCISAA 3-A Final Four Breakdown
The teams are set for the 2018 NCISAA 3-A Final Four held at Forsyth Country Day School in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on Friday and Saturday next week.
3:30-Wesleyan Christian vs Providence Day School-The hottest team in the state, Wesleyan Christian takes on the 2016 champion Providence Day School in the first of the final four games on Friday. Wesleyan Christian is led by Maryland signee Aaron Wiggins, Wake Forest signee Jaylen Hoard, two of the top 2019 prospects in the state Keyshaun Langley and Kobe Langley. Providence Day has some firepower in their own right with Kansas signee Devon Dotson, Santa Clara signee Trey Wertz and unsigned athletic wing Isaac Suffren. This should be a great game with my favorite being Wesleyan Christian with their size on the interior. Guard play will be a big factor for Providence Day as there is nobody in the state or country that can stop Devon Dotson when he gets hot. The shooting of Trey Wertz will also be a factor in the game, if Wertz is able to get hot and rattle off three or four three-point shots in a row then that could spell trouble for Wesleyan Christian.
Isaac Suffren6:30-Christ School vs Greensboro Day-The second match-up for The Greenies and The Bengals should prove to be another good final four game. Greensboro Day is led by Clemson signee John Newman, Georgia Southern signee Will Dillard, freshman Carson McCorkle make up the bulk of the guard scheme for Hall of Fame coach Freddy Johnson and Greensboro Day. Big man Michael Fowler will have his hands full with Christ School’s Brandon Stone and Justice Ajogbor. Christ School also features 2019 point guard Jalen Lecque, one of the most electrifying players in the nation. Greensboro Day took home the first match-up back in November with a big win over Christ School. The defense of Greensboro Day is almost as good as anyone in the state. A key question will be the play of Will Dillard, one of the best on-ball defenders in the state.
