Maryland/DC Rankings Breakdown: 2018 Newcomers (Part 2)
PrepHoops Maryland recently updated the class of . Gathering a list of players and choosing which rank best fits the individual was an extremely difficult challenge, but we do our best to keep them updated every three months. Our recent update includes an expansion from the number of players ranked from 100 to 125. We love finding out about new players, and we’ve done so since our last update. Here we resume our breakdown series featuring five newcomers.
#66 | ANTHONY GARCIA | 6’5 F | SAINT JAMES
One of three unsigned seniors at Saint James, Anthony Garcia is probably the most underrated. He is by no means a slouch though. The versatile 6’5 forward plays with a high motor and a high IQ.
#70 | XAVIER REAVES | 6’5 F | PAINT BRANCH
As the captain for Paint Branch this season, Xavier Reaves has done nothing but produce. The unsigned senior, who’s averaging over 18 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 steals per game, is also leading the team in 3 point percentage.
#74 | JACOB BOLES | 6’5 F | GEORGETOWN DAY
One thing that really stands out about Jacob Boles, aside from his motor and versatility, is how much he communicates on defense. Definitely an attribute that gives him a slight edge.
#90 | IBN WILLIAMS | 5’10 G | BISHOP MCNAMARA
Ibn Williams possesses a solid skill set from the lead guard spot, which includes the ability to score from all three levels. He can definitely help a college program right away next season.
#92 | KYRON MARTIN | 6’4 G | ST. VINCENT PALLOTTI
Shooter in the building! At 6’4, Kyron Martin can absolutely shoot the cover off the ball. The 3-point marksman from England is one of the best available shooters in the state of Maryland.
