Louisiana 2020 Rankings: New Faces pt. 2
Nashon Williams 6’6 F Cohen
Williams is an incredibly long big with a very high ceiling. Because of his length and athleticism he is a fantastic rebounder and is one of the best rim protectors of his class. Offensivly, he is still best kept around the rim, but he is a good finisher around the rim. If he can grow another inch or two, he is a legit potential D1 player.
Jonathan Horton 6’4 F Scotlandville
Horton is a high upside forward that is still pretty raw on both ends of the ball. However, he has a great body on, and has the size and athleticism that you are looking for. He is a really good rim protector, but is going to have to become much more skilled to truly reach his ceiling.
Melvion Flannagan 5’10 G Peabody
With his role on a very talented Peabody team, he is able to do exactly what he is best at, and that is put the ball in the basket. He is a fantastic shooter, and can score at all three levels. He is an underated defender, and is able to get into passing lanes pretty easily. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him make a big jump next season and see him jump into the top 15-20 by the time he graduates.
Hobert Grayson 6’3 G East Ascension
There are lots of things that Grayson does really well on the basketball court, but I think his best asset is his shooting ability. Grayson is an absolute knockdown shooter with range extending out to NBA range. He is a deceptive athlete, and as a result can get up and dunk with ease and has all the tools to be a good defender.
