Friday Night Predictions: North Dakota, who you got?
What games should be the most competitive tonight between solid teams in North Dakota? PHD gives you a quick rundown of the evening.
Shiloh Christian at Solen. The Skyhawks slate of difficult games continues. They are 10-3 and half of their games have been against the top 20-25 teams in Class B. The Sioux had only one loss on the season until they competed against the younger teams from the various Bismarck schools. This will be a fun battle of wings of Shiloh like Canaan Fagerland and Jonas Mitzel going at Jayce Red Water and constant playmaker Jayce Archambault. Shiloh will have to deal with the high level talent of Archambault but Shiloh is tougher up front with Jaden Mitzel and Macauley Young.
Bishop Ryan at Des Lacs Burlington. A huge game between District 12 opponents both teams are wrestling with along with Our Redeemer for position. The Lions give up only 47 points per game and they are winning contests by 27-30 points a night on the regular. Bishop Ryan is a deep team that has several backcourt weapons including Ben Bohl, Mason Hedberg, and Caden Shean plus Anthony Vetter working up front. Eddie White Bear and Aaron Grandy will have to match their point total with sophomore Dante Gunville going at Vetter despite a couple years less experience.
Jamestown at Minot. Jamestown came within a score of beating Bismarck earlier in the week looking for that statement victory. Knocking off Legacy was a step in the right direction but they want something bigger. Barely losing to the Demons was a miss, but a win over Minot would be big for the Jays. Minot is ranked 7th and Jamestown 10th. Mason Walters and his 18p/8r average along with sophomore Boden Skunberg scoring 13 and the several quality role players around, they’ve worked together to help Jamestown take big strides. Minot is more balanced with five double figure scorers led by Peyton Lamoureux, Chandler Albertson, and Lofton Klabunde.
Carrington at Ellendale. District 5 is one of the tougher groups in Class B with both of these teams being talented as well as Edgeley/Kulm/Montpellier and LLM plus Oakes is a team that puts up numbers too so you can’t forget about them. Ellendale has more to lose because they have already lost to a the Rebels earlier in the week by a massive margin. The Cards just beat LLM by 16 and have found a nice rhythm. Garrett Bickett leads the way with Carrington but Ellendale has the type of players Hunter Thorpe and Lucas Hofer that can hold that homecourt edge.
