Here is another installment of “Five Good Guys.” These players turned in excellent performances on Tuesday night either in district playoff games or final regular-season games.
Cameron Williams 6’4″ Hazelwood Central: The athletic 2018 guard scored 27 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and had four steals in the Hawks’ 68-67 victory over Webster Groves in the Suburban Crossover Challenge. Williams was terrific on both ends of the court with jumpers, dunks, blocks and his usual high motor at all times. He has become a big late-season stock riser with his production.
Gaven Pinkley 6’8″ Hillsboro: The 2018 forward turned in one of his most dominant efforts of the season with 35 points, 14 rebounds, six assists and two blocks in an 87-58 victory over North County. Devan Hampton 5’11” Clever: The athletic 2018 combo guard had 27 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and five steals in a 79-66 victory over Forsyth in the Class 3, District 11 playoffs at Strafford. Hampton will lead Clever into the semifinals against No. 1 seed Springfield Catholic.
